A Humble Beginning
Master Corporation was established in 1997 by Mr. Zameer Ahmed. The firm initially engaged in brokering sugar trades in Karachi’s wholesale market, Jodia Bazaar. Led by Mr. Ahmed’s expertise and business acumen, the firm quickly developed into a major player on the local scene but the desire for excellence already had set its root and the firm continually tried to move up the value chain and expand into different cities.
Expansion
Continued commitment & self improvement allowed Master Corporation to rapidly grow from a brokerage firm confined to Karachi to a national intermediary securing direct access to sugar mills across Pakistan. This necessitated the development of a national wholesale trading network & logistical support which happened simultaneously. The Firm’s resources encouraged many sugar mills to grant the firm exclusive dealership rights / preferred broker status.
The constant struggle to improve led the firm to expand the client base and diversify in facilitation of the sugar trade between the corporate sector and sugar mills drawing on its strong principal network & logistics infrastructure. Similarly, the firm expanded into the facilitation of export of sugar from Pakistan to different countries. The diversification by some local sugar mills into ethanol distillation afforded another opportunity for the firm as it expanded into brokerage of molasses by drawing on its existing entrenchment with various sugar mills.
The Present & the Future
Being one of the largest presences in the sugar trade in Pakistan, the firm has its eyes set in continuing to maintain its leadership position in the wholesale market and to grow and consolidate rapidly in the following segments:
- Industrial supply of sugar
- Export of sugar
- Brokerage of Molasses
